Dear Big Canoe Property Owner: Did you read last year’s Smoke Signal articles about Leadership Big Canoe classes and wish you had been in the program? Now is your chance. Enroll in the 2010-11 class today. The purpose of Leadership Big Canoe is to provide specific education and hands-on training for potential community leaders in a volunteer environment. Opportunities for class participation will be an important part of each class. Classes will meet from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. except as noted below.
Perhaps the best indicator of the quality of the program comes from some of the comments of the over one hundred graduates of the program’s previous five classes.
Leadership Big Canoe is now accepting applications from qualified persons for the sixth consecutive year of this comprehensive leadership education program. If you have owned property in Big Canoe for more than 12 months, are 21 years of age, and in good standing with the POA, you are qualified. In addition, you must be willing to serve as a volunteer for at least two years within Big Canoe or the surrounding communities. Current volunteer service will count toward the requirement. Click here to print and complete the application; include a check for $45 to cover the cost of materials.
